OCR: Located amongst the historic buildings of downtown Williams Arizona Rod' serves up great steaks for tourists hungry after visit to the Grand Canyon some ninety miles to the north. Williams holds special place in the history of Route 66. In October of 1985, Williams became the last town on the Route to be bypassed by the Federal Interstate Highway System. Sadly, many of the bypassed towns on the Route suffered major slumps in business following the arrival of the Interstate. ortunately the millions of visitors who roll through Williams each year on their way to the Grand Canyon, have insured that this beautiful western town does not suffer the same fate. hungr ederal visitor
